+Glass Explorers Create Google Glass Apps

+Glass Explorers Create Google Glass Apps

From Malcolm Nguyen's Google+ page demonstrating Reddit Timeline app for Glass
Were you one of those who applied to receive Google Glass and didn't make the cut? Well, don't obsess about it. "Good things come to those who wait," they say.
Meanwhile, for those +Glass Explorers who were on the receiving end of Project Glass, likeDaria MuskSarah Hill, and the spare anointed others, there's great news. The number of apps being created for Glass users are growing. I think I'm jealous.
Mike DiGiovanni, from Roundarch Isobar, created Winky . It's a Google Glass app that lets Glass users take photos without pressing or verbalizing anything. All you have to do is wink. So at the twinkling of your eye, you've got a photo, preferably of something cool.
According to DiGiovanni, "Winking really changes things. You might not think it's hard to say 'Ok, Glass Take a Picture' or even just tap a button. But it's a context switch that takes you out of the moment, even if just for a second," DiGiovanni clarified Winky on his Google+ post.
Reports have come out that Reddit is now available for Glass. Created by +Glass Explorer Malcolm Nguyen, the app brings Reddit to a seamless experience on Glass. Nguyen has named his app "Reddit Timeline." The experience is practically all Reddit.
Using the app you can swipe through your top 25 FrontPage posts. It features "upvote and downvote." You can also share a photo. You are able to do comment threading and read aloud comments. You can also make a snarky comment to a ridiculous reply if you like. And the top 25 are updated every hour.
Pretty neat, as the commentors praising Nguyen as a genius state. Do I detect their envy? Certainly, they want to try out Glass. Do you?
